Is it a co-incidence that Coconut Oil is Vilified while a new Cholesterol-lowering Vaccine is announced?
This article partly explains the left field announcement of the American Heart Association to stop using Coconut Oil, namely: "Because coconut oil increases LDL cholesterol, a cause of cardiovascular disease, and has no known offsetting favorable effects, we advise against the use of coconut oil", despite the many studies that refute this view created by profit driven industries and parroted by any medically related organisation that has received enough cash.
Perhaps they missed the fact that cholesterol does not cause heart disease(Lack of an association or an inverse association between low-density-lipoprotein cholesterol and mortality in the elderly - http://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/6/6/e010401 backed by 40 reference studies).
The fact that a yearly booster shot would be needed makes this an excellent money spinner and worth the preemptive marketing spiel.
