A very comprehensive article on the systematic removal of access to natural medicines, and the related IKS Bill in South Africa. I attended the public hearings held 24-26 January, with those in opposition to the Bill allocated to give their presentations on the 26th. Much to my surprise the Bill was approved and forwarded to the Council of Provinces with the note that NO opposition to the Bill was registered. Referring to the Parliamentary records on their website, I noted that records of the first two days were reflected on the website, but as of 22 June 2017 at 2 Pm, nothing has been updated for the 26th, 4 months after the other records were posted.
